Health workers in Mombasa County on Tuesday started a go-slow to protest delayed payment of December salaries.
The protest kicked off on Tuesday with workers refusing to attend to patients.
The health practitioners who include; doctors, nurses, clinical officers and laboratory technicians said the county has also not honoured several agreements entered with their unions.
The health workers are members of Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU), Kenya Union of Clinical Officers (KUCO) and Kenya National Union of Nurses.
Dr. Abidan Mwachi, Mombasa county KMPDU secretary, said all health workers have not received payment for December and efforts to get an explanation from Governor Hassan Joho administration has not been successful.
